Saffron Striders Championship 2021

With many events still to be announced or postponed until 2022 we have a "slimline" championship for 2021. We also appreciate that even as races resume not everyone will feel comfortable taking part.

Qualifying Races

1. Summer "virtual" 5ks

Fastest two 5k times, with an additional 10 points for any of the other 5ks in the series (maximum 40 points).

CTC/HI – 15-18 April 2021
Ely – 13-16 May 2021
NJ – 10-13 June 2021
SS – 08-11 July 2021
HRC – 05-08 August 2021
C&C/RR – 02-05 September 2021

2. Your best "virtual" or "non-virtual" 10k

Any course, anywhere. E.g. Henham 10k held on a marked course and available to run any time between 12th and 27th June. And there is a 3k course for the kids.

3. Your best 5 mile time

Any course, anywhere. Or a "live" event e.g. Thurlow 5m.

4. XC League Race

The first race of our winter XC league - 12th Dec 2021 at Bishops Stortford.

Champ Calculation

5 races in total to score plus up an additional 10 bonus points for each additional summer series 5k. Additional races may be added later in the year.

All times will be converted to points based on your age graded (WMA) score. E.g. a WMA score of 62% will result in 62 points.
